The World is still buzzing and I sometimes can’t believe the Phenomenal One is in the WWE. Like myself, I am pretty sure most people marked out when he drew #3 in the Royal Rumble matchup this past January.

While we thought he was going to feud with Kevin Owens who eliminated him from the Royal Rumble matchup (and still sort of can), he is in a program with Chris Jericho. AJ Styles defeated Chris Jericho in his singles debut on Raw the next night. He defeated Curtis Axel on Smackdown that week. AJ Styles & Jericho defeated Social Outcast to open Smackdown this past week. However Chris Jericho defeated AJ Styles to close out Smackdown last night.

Although Jericho is yes way past his prime. Yes this is like his 6th or 7th time trying to save us, Jericho is a great first mini feud for AJ Styles. AJ was not going to be 170+ and 0 ala Bill Goldberg. Jericho is a 6 time World Champion, defeated The Rock and Stone Cold in the same night (how can we forget) and a 9 time Intercontinental Champion. AJ Styles is known to the hardcore wrestling fan.

However, the WWE only Wrestling doesn’t know him much. This is a great way to work with an established guy while he warms up to the WWE audience. Some wrestling fans want him in the main event picture out of the gate. Whether you agree or not, right now they are setting up Roman Reigns for his WrestleMania moment, finally. No one with a Money in the Bank briefcase will ruin his moment this time.

Therefore AJ Styles wasn’t going to close WrestleMania this year. Can he win Money in the bank this year? Absolutely.

Can he feud with a Rollins or Cesaro or Cena when they return? Absolutelyz.

Be patient everyone, be patient. There is a reason why he bypassed NXT and came straight to main roster. The Phenomenal One will get his moment. We are just getting started.

In conclusion, AJ Styles can work with an established star and can make a name for himself. I am predicting that now that they are 1-1, I expect the rubber match at FastLane with AJ Styles going over and putting him on the FastLane to WrestleMania (pun intended).

Enjoy the ride, enjoy the ride!
