We are on the fast track to WWE FastLane this Sunday 2/21.

Unless there is is some type of swerve, most likely it will be Triple H vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. How do you fill 100,000 seats in AT & T Stadium on 4/3? Supercard you would think right? The problem is that all of your established stars are injured. Your part-timers are busy with other projects or physically can’t get in the ring (Rock, Austin etc).

You still have a great depth of talent between NXT and WWE main roster. However, how do you book the Undertaker? His streak ended at WrestleMania 30 at the hands of Brock Lesnar. He is now 22-1 at WrestleMania. Undertaker had a busy 2015 as compared to several years ago.

Wrestled at WrestleMania, appearance at Battleground, Wrestled at SummerSlam, Hell in a Cell and Survivor Series in 2015. Has been in the WWE for over 25 years. More than some people have been alive. Will this be his swan song? Will he ride into the sunset and in his home state, retire?

Only Taker knows that. Every card whether it’s MMA or Boxing or Pro Wrestling should have a good co-main event. Undertaker is that guy to help with the co-main event. Who does he wrestle?

Sting

I know Sting is headlining the Hall of Fame. It won’t be first time an inductee gets inducted that Saturday night and wrestle at WrestleMania to retire (Flair WM 24 in 2008). It is a definite dream match. Yes it is 16 years too late. However if you keep it short, I think it will be fine. The problem is how severe is Sting’s neck. That is why this match may be just a dream and not a dream match.

John Cena

I know Cena is injured with his shoulder issues. It won’t be first time Cena returns from injury early. He surprised us all at Royal Rumble 2008. How do you anchor WrestleMania with a great co-main event? You pair up Undertaker versus the “Hulk Hogan” of this era. Worse case scenario, he can wrestle Taker and take time off after WrestleMania. It doesn’t get bigger than the biggest star of this generation. I personally think that is why Taker hasn’t been named an opponent yet. WWE officials are awaiting to see how Cena is healing and will make a decision soon.

World Title Picture

Wrestlezone wrote an article about Taker being in the World Title picture. I like the idea. It will give some emphasis even more on title picture. The problem is that it would overshadow Roman Reigns moment. I don’t think WWE officials want to do that. In my opinion, they want to give Reigns his moment. Although this can be a great plan C or D.

In conclusion, I think WWE is monitoring both Cena and Sting. If none can wrestle on 4/3, I can see him in title picture but I think it would be an absolute last resort. Taker deserves an established star in his final bout at WrestleMania. Time will tell, time will tell.
